Marie Kennedy

Marie Elizabeth Kennedy, 92, of Lewiston, MN died at her home Tuesday morning, July 10, 2012.Marie was born December 23, 1919, in Barre Mills, WI to Henry and Amanda (Meyer) Wehrenberg. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Barre Mills. Marie attended Pleasant Valley School, St. John's Lutheran School and graduated from West Salem High School in 1938.Marie and Wayne Euler were married on October 5, 1940. She and Wayne had two children, Jeanne and Jeffrey, and lived in West Salem, WI. Wayne died September 27, 1965. Marie later married Bernard Kennedy on December 29, 1973. She and Bernard made their home in Lewiston where she became a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Dorcas Society. Bernard died April 5, 2006.Marie devoted much of her time to volunteer work and spent eleven years in the Winona Area Hospice Coalition and O.A.S.E.S.Survivors include her children; Jeanne (Paul) Lehninger of Wauwatosa, WI, Jeffrey (Carol) Euler of West Salem, WI, John (Peggy) Kennedy of Mendota Heights, MN, Bernie Joe (Karla) Kennedy of Lewiston, Patricia (Richard) Stark of Kellogg, MN, Maureen (Mike) Murphy-Hurley of Scottsdale, AZ, and Jim Kennedy of Trempealeau, WI, 24 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Irma Euler of West Salem, and numerous nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Wayne and Bernard, and seven brothers and one sister.Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Lewiston with the Reverends Michael A. Lindemann and M. John Dermé officiating. Burial will be in Neshonoc Cemetery, West Salem, WI. Friends may call from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Hoff Funeral Service in Lewiston. They may also call one hour before services at the church.
