Marian Elaine Rohrer, 92, formerly of St. Charles, MN, died Saturday, April 1, 2017 in Verona, PA.
Marian was born July 23, 1924 in Racine, WI to Paul E. and Bertha (Badtke) Raddatz. She moved to Kenosha with her parents when she was five years old and attended Washington and Bain Elementary schools and graduated 9th grade from Frieden's Lutheran school. She graduated from Kenosha High School in June 1942.
After graduation, she worked in the Planning Dept. at Nash-Kelvinator Corp. In 1949, she changed employment and worked for Kenosha County in the Veterans Service Office in the Court House.
On March 6, 1954 she married Herbert R. Rohrer at Grace Lutheran Church. They lived in Milwaukee until 1960 when they moved to Cochrane, WI and in 1966 moved to St. Charles, MN where her husband owned and operated Rohrer Chevrolet-Buick Co. until 1988.
Mr. Rohrer preceded her in death on February 16, 1994. In 2004 she moved to Ridgefield, CT to be near her family and eventually to Verona, PA. Marian loved her family and church above all else and her grandchildren were the joy of her life.
Surviving Mrs. Rohrer are her children, Kent (Margaret) Rohrer of Ridgefield, CT and Karen (Chris) Gaul of Pittsburgh, PA; five grandchildren, Douglas, Kathryn & Jeffrey Rohrer and Ellen & Ryan Gaul; brother, Robert (Betty) Raddatz of Kenosha, sister, Jeanne (Charles) Wiersum of Lake Tomahawk, WI and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Paul J. Raddatz.
A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Memorials in Marian's name may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 555 E 12th Street, St. Charles, MN 55972. Burial will be in the Buffalo City Cemetery, Buffalo City, WI.
