HOFF FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE - HOUSTON, MINN. 507-896-3127 HOUSTON, MINN. - Marguerite M. Kidd, 92, of Houston, Minn. died on Wednesday, July 7, at Gundersen - Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wis. Marguerite was born on January 17, 1918, in West Fork, Wis. to Charles D. and Flossie E. (Dilly) Briggs. She was raised in West Central, Wis. and graduated from Gays Mills High School. On November 6, 1938, Marguerite married Gordon Kidd in Warwick, Wis. She and Gordon lived in Western Wisconsin until moving to Houston in 1967. She worked at the Valley View Nursing Home in Houston, Rush Products in Rushford, Minn., Control Data in Spring Grove, Minn., and was a volunteer driver for SEMCAC for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Rushford and was an active member of the Presbyterian Church over the years. Marguerite was also a member of the Forget-Me-Not Garden Club in Houston. She enjoyed reading, writing stories, flowers and gardening. Marguerite is survived by four sons: Jeff (Pauline) Kidd of Montello, Wis., Charles Otis (Royce) Kidd of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Gordon (Joyce) Kidd of Middleton, Wis. and Bill (Darlene) Kidd of Portage, Wis.; two daughters: Susan Carrier of Houston and Becky (Tim) Runningen of LaCrescent, Minn.; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and by one sister: Mary Jane Carlson of Maple Grove, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Kathleen; grandson, Rick Koschkee; two great-grandsons, Troy Thompson and Clayton Parman; and one sister, Margie Peterson. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, at the Hokah United Methodist Church in Hokah, Minn. with the Rev. Sharon Goetzinger officiating. Burial will be in the Money Creek Cemetery in Money Creek, Minn. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. The family prefers memorials to be directed to the Valley View Nursing Home in Houston. Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in Houston is assisting the family with arrangements.
