HOUSTON, MN - Marguerite, M. Feldmeier, 91, of Houston, MN died on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at her home.
Marguerite Marie Lorenz was born on December 19, 1926, in La Crosse, WI to Joseph and Matilda (Langen) Lorenz. She was raised in Hokah, MN and graduated from St. Peter's High School in Hokah. On March 5, 1946, she was united in marriage with Anthony Feldmeier. They farmed in Perkins Valley until 1956, when they moved to Yucatan Township, where they farmed for many years. Marguerite was devoted to God, her church community and her family. She was a quiet and independent person who was a very active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Houston. She started the religious education classes at her church and taught there for 34 years.
She is survived by four children: Deloris (Lloyd) Friske of Prior Lake, MN, Gerald (Lori) Feldmeier of Houston, Karen (Chuck) Lynch of Iowa City, IA, and Wayne (Jeanne) Feldmeier of Houston; ten grandchildren: James (Darcey) Friske, Christopher (Elena) Friske, Nathan (Crystal) Friske, Rachel (Karl) Eicher, Matthew (Wendy) Feldmeier, Emily (Dylan) Flannery, Brian (Rachel) Lynch, Jeffrey (Alyssa) Lynch, Jennifer (James) McKenzie, and Katherine (Joe) Clarke; eleven great-grandchildren: Isaac, Peter, Nora, Charlie, Lucy, Avery, Theodore, Eric, Andrew, Veronica, and Abraham; two sisters: Mary (Maynard) Welscher and Josephine Gavin; one uncle, Al Langen; one sister-in-law, Anita Lorenz; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony, one son, Mark; 3 children in infancy; and one sister; Helen Mullen; two brothers, William Lorenz and Charles Lorenz.
There will be a Funeral Mass for Marguerite at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Houston with the Reverend William Kulas officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in Houston and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will be at the Convent Catholic Cemetery in Hokah.
