Margaret Ann Millard, 75 of Minnetonka, formerly of St. Charles, died peacefully with her children by her side on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 in her home.She was born July 9, 1936 in Westbrook, MN to Curtis and Elsie Mae (Nowlin) Davidson. Margaret graduated from Westbrook High School and Mankato State University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. She later earned her Master's degree in Education. She worked for a brief time in the St. Paul Park School district before moving to St. Charles. In January of 1962, she married Kenneth Millard in St. Charles, they were later divorced. Margaret taught 5th grade at St. Charles Elementary School for 30 years before retiring in 1993. After she retired, Margaret lived in Arizona for 10 years. She returned to Minnesota in 2000. Margaret was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.Margaret enjoyed needlework, crossword puzzles, playing scrabble, collecting angels and was an avid reader. Her family and grandchildren meant everything to her and she loved spending time with them.She is survived by her two daughters, Karin (Greg) Wallgren of Minnetonka and Nancy (Kyle) Christie of Osceola, WI; four grandchildren, Kurt & Leah Wallgren and Keenan & Jaxon Christie.Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Deland Davidson.A visitation will be 3 - 4:30 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service in St. Charles.
