Lewiston, MN Margaret M. Holtegaard, 88, of St. Charles, MN, died Friday, October 10, 2008 at Lewiston Villa Nursing Home in Lewiston. Margaret was born on March 5, 1920 to Amos and Ethel (Crowson) Martin in Saratoga, MN. On October 1, 1938, Margaret married Conrad Holtegaard in St. Charles. She was a homemaker, worked as a waitress at Dell's Café, and as a pharmacy assistant for Brownell Drugstore until retirement. She lived in St. Charles her whole life and was a member of the United Methodist Church in St. Charles. She was a member of Homemaker's Society, and was very active in her church as well as being a Senior Center volunteer where she helped with preparing and delivering meals. Her interests were sewing and embroidery. She will be dearly missed. Margaret is survived by her three daughters, Helen (Ellsworth) Simon of Lewiston, MN; Marconna Mary Lou (Bob) Scrabeck of Rochester, MN; and Nancy (Greg) Schwanbeck of Lake City, MN; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister Bea (Clayton) McDougall of Eyota, MN; two brothers, George Martin and Clair Martin both of St. Charles, MN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Conrad who passed away in 1997. The Funeral Service for Margaret will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in St Charles with the Reverend David Laechel officiating. Burial will follow at Saratoga Cemetery in Saratoga. Friends may call from 5-8pm on Monday, October 13 at Hoff Funeral Home - St. Charles Chapel and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
