Margaret Cecelia Wagner

Margaret Cecelia Wagner, 90, formerly of St. Charles died Sunday May 6, 2007 at Augusta Care Center in Apple Valley. She was born August 23, 1916 in Winona to Rudolph and Catherine (Brennan) Wunderlich. Margaret attended Teachers Training in St. Charles and taught in area country schools. She and George Wagner were married on June 14, 1937 at Owatonna. The couple made their home in Winona until moving to Wykoff in 1949. They moved to St. Charles in 1977. George died December 6, 1989. She entered Augustana Care Center four years ago. Margaret has been a faithful member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She also liked to read, travel, knit and play cribbage. Survivors include six sons, William (Barbara) Wagner of Burnsville; David (Katherine) Wagner of Tower; Gerald (Lorraine) Wagner of Tower; James (Evelyn) Wagner of Eden Prairie; Richard Wagner of Tower and George, Wagner, Jr. of Wykoff, a daughter-in-law, Margo Wagner of St. Cloud, 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, one son Robert and a sister Ruth. A Funeral Mass will be 11AM Friday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with the Rev. James Callahan officiating.
