Marcella L. Wise

HOFF FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE - HANSEN GOODVIEW CHAPEL 507-452-4241 ROLLINGSTONE, MINN. - Marcella Leona "Marce" Wise, 87, of Rollingstone, Minn. died on Friday, January 1, 2010, at Lake Winona Manor in Winona, Minn. Marce was born on August 19, 1922, in Winona, Minn. to Michael and Mary Speltz. She was raised in Rollingstone and graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic School in Rollingstone. Marce attended Winona Secretarial School. On September 2, 1944, she married LeRoy G. Wise. Besides raising her three daughters, she worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Rochester, Winona, and was the Post Master in Rollingstone. Marce was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, church circle, St. Theresa's Society, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a very big sports fan. Marce and LeRoy loved watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings together. She also enjoyed quilting, baking apple pies, and growing Summer Savory for Rollingstone Dressing. Marce is survived by three daughters: Judi (Jack) Rader of Winona, Minn., Sharon (Jerry) Styba of Cottage Grove, Minn., and Marilyn (Tom) Cavil of Dodge Center, Minn.; five grandchildren: Susan (Jeremy) Page, Lyn Rader, Greg Styba, Jennifer (Mike) Bauer, and Nikki (Kyle) Romnes; and by six great-grandchildren: Jackson Page, Jenessa and Jayden Styba, Jacob and Jackson Bauer, and Thomas Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and two sisters. There will be a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 4, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone, Minn. with the Rev. Donald Lovas officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
