Marcella B. Keefe

Marcella B. Keefe, 93, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wis.Marcella was born May 24, 1912, on Oak Ridge, Houston County, Minn., to Helmer and Mary (Halvorson) Loken. She married William Keefe on June 2, 1945, in Houston, Minn. He later preceded her in death.Marcella was a school teacher in Houston County for 43 years. She was an active member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Houston and an avid volunteer for senior citizens.Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Mary (John) Rucastle and Anne Loken; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded death by her parents, husband, Bill, and four brothers, Henry, Tilbert, Alvin and Harris and sister, Mabel.
