M. Scott Dellenbach, age 62, passed away peacefully Friday night on June 19, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Hospital while in hospice after fighting a three-year battle with cancer. Scott was born August 30, 1957 in Denver, CO to Gene and Lil Dellenbach. He graduated from Austin Pacelli High School in 1975. Following high school, Scott attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.
In 1999 Scott moved to St. Louis Park, MN where he worked as a Compensation Analyst on a consulting basis until retiring in 2017. He was a devoted member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. Scott enjoyed spending time with his daughter Katie, working on his house, various outdoor activities including hunting and fishing, and going to sports games with his friends. He will be remembered for always having a smile on his face and a joke to make you laugh, and for his care and consideration for others. Scott faced cancer with great courage and hope. His faith and strength carried him through life, and his family and friends now take comfort in knowing he rests in peace.
Scott is survived by his daughter Katie Dellenbach and her fiancé Corbin Ringsred of Duluth, his mother Lil Dellenbach of Austin, his brother Tom Dellenbach of Maplewood, his niece Mary Dellenbach, as well as many close friends. He was preceded in death by his father Gene Dellenbach, sisters Debbie Dellenbach and Kathie Dellenbach, and sister-in-law Judy Dellenbach.
