M. Richard Hall, 67, of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Rushford, MN died on May 4, 2018, at his home in Vero Beach. Milton Richard Hall was born on April 25, 1951, in Rochester, MN to Milton T. and Bernice (Ulvestad) Hall. He was a 1969 graduate of Lanesboro High School, in Lanesboro, MN. On November 5, 1976, he was united in marriage with Kristi Hatleli at Rushford Lutheran Church. Through his career, Rich worked as a farmer in Lanesboro; was a human resource manager at Hubbard and Land O Lakes; sales manager at Thern in Winona, MN; and was a vice president and pharmacy manager at Witt's Pharmacy in Rushford, MN. Rich was passionate about music and was an accomplished drummer who toured with the All American High School Band. He also played all genres of music with many local bands. Rich loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, archery, fishing, hiking, water skiing, and snow skiing. He was so proud of his children and was an avid follower of all of their activities. Rich had numerous accomplishments including being a certified ski instructor and raising a grand champion hog in his 4 H club. He was also generous with his time by giving to his community as a Cub Scout leader, Booster Club board member, Rushford Electrical Board member, Elementary girls basketball coach, and videographer. Rich touched the hearts of many with his genuine smile, kind heart, and sense of humor. Rich is deeply loved by his family and is greatly missed.
He is survived by 3 children: Elissa Hall of Rochester, MN, Jessica (Erik) Miller of Grant, FL, Jason (Kelli) Hall of Inver Grove Heights, MN; aunts and uncles: Dorrie Baldwin of White Bear Lake, MN, Curtis (Jean) Hall of Lanesboro, MN, and Elinor Abraham of Mabel, MN; and by many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and an infant brother.
An open house and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018, from 2 - 5 PM CST at the family home at 200 East Jessie Street. Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service of Rushford is assisting the family with arrangements.
The family would like memorials directed to a DNR project set up in Richard's name.
