PETERSON, MINN. - Lyle M. Lee, 79, of Peterson died Monday, April 10, 2006, at Gundersen - Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wis. Lyle was born January 24, 1927 in Lacrosse, Wis. to Theodore and Cora (Evenson) Lee. Lyle was raised in the Peterson area and he attended Peterson High School. On February 3, 1946, Lyle married Alice Hallum in Winona, Minn. Lyle farmed for many years. He worked for Archer Daniels in Winona, Rush Products in Rushford, and ran his own gas station in Peterson. He operated Lyle's Bikes in Peterson. There wasn't a bike that Lyle couldn't fix. He enjoyed mowing lawn with his John Deere mower as well as working puzzles in recent years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Peterson. Lyle is survived by his wife, Alice; four children: Ardell (Andrea) Lee of Rushford, Minn., Joanne (Keith) Pederson of Peterson, Minn., Steve (Rose) Lee of Rushford, Minn., and Jeff (Michele Hearrold) Lee of Rushford, Minn.; ten grandchildren: Bryan, Jenna, Aaron, Jeremy, Jessica, Jaime, Michelle, Amanda, Brandon, and Allyson; six great-grandchildren; three brothers: Curtis (Nancy) Lee of Peterson, Minn., Wayne (Kathy) Lee of Rushford, Minn., and Dick (Portia) Lee of Peterson, Minn. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and one step-sister, Theoline. There will be a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday April 14, 2006, at Grace Lutheran Church in Peterson, Minn., with the Rev. Ron Warnes officiating. The visitation is from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, also at the church. Burial will be in East Grace Lutheran Cemetery.
