Lyle Fay Ryan

St. Charles, Lyle F. Ryan, 89, of St. Charles died Monday July 30, 2007 in Rochester. Lyle was born March 10, 1918 in Utica to Joe and Celia (Pearce) Ryan. He was raised in the St. Charles area. In 1953 he and his parents purchased their farm east of St. Charles. He has farmed there since. Lyle married Penny Beyer. He was a member of the St. Charles United Methodist Church and had served on the Elba Creamery Board for many years. Lyle loved and raised America Saddle Bred Horses. Survivors include his wife Penny, a son Bob (Lindsay) Ryan, a daughter, Brianna (Matt) Olson, four grandchildren; Shaun, Kyliee, Tessa and Kiyanna all of St. Charles, four sisters, Lois Hays of Austin; Lorraine (Bob) Kroening of St. Charles; Carol Coe of Rochester and Rita (Dave) Hengel of Rochester. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Funeral Services will be 11AM Thursday at St. Charles United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Laechel officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Wednesday at Hoff Funeral Home, St. Charles. They may also call one hour before services at the church on Thursday.
