Rislove, 83, of Rochester, Minn. and formerly of Rushford, Minn. died on Tuesday, July 26, at the Sunrise Cottages in Rochester, Minn. Lyle was born on November 24, 1927, in Rushford, Minn. to Seth and Ella (Rostvold) Rislove. He was raised in Rushford and graduated from Rushford High School. He graduated from the American School in Chicago and also attended many navigation schools. On January 4, 1952, Lyle was united in marriage with Beverly Bendel in Rushford. Lyle served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Great Lakes Iron Ore as a ship Captain for 25 years. Lyle worked for Rush Products in Rushford for several years. He then worked as Captain of the La Crosse Queen in La Crosse, Wis. for 20 years. Lyle is survived by two brothers: Seth E. (Marcie) Rislove of Los Alamos, New Mexico and Allan (Marge) Rislove of Freemont, New Hampshire; one sister, Ann Johnson of Rochester, Minn.; and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers and one sister. There will be a memorial service for Lyle at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday August 7, at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in Rushford with the Rev. Roger Michaelson officiating.
