Winona, MNLuther P. Holland, 56, died at his home in Winona on January 2, 2006. Luther was born July 9, 1949 in Lanesboro, MN to Silas and Lillian (Kvamme) Holland. Luther served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Karen Hoppe on April 11, 1980 in Wilson, MN. Luther was a truck driver for Wilson Transportation in Redwing, MN. He was a member of Goodview Trinity Lutheran Church. Luther was also a member of The Red Men Club in Winona. He enjoyed fishing, watching hockey and spending time with his friends and family.Survivors include his wife, Karen; son, Ryan of Winona; daughters, Melissa Holland and Heather (Keith) Griffin both of Minneapolis, MN; three grandchildren, Holland, Holton and Haiden Griffin; three brothers, Ellsworth (Karla) Holland of Rushford, MN, David (Dixie) Holland of Rochester, MN and Daniel (Leanne) Holland of Blooming Prairie, MN; and sister, Julie (Gerhard) Heier of Spring Grove, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Josh Holland.A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2006 at 11:00am at Goodview Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Tony Hansen officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Friends may call at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service Hansen Tribute Center in Goodview on Thursday from 5-8:00pm where there will be a time of sharing at 7:30pm. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
