Luther Melvin Bonow 61, of Utica, died suddenly of natural causes on Sunday May 26, 2019 at home.
He was born May 7, 1958 to Ervin and Helen (Ellinghuysen) Bonow.
He married Debra Finhart on August 13, 1994
Luther attended Immanuel Lutheran School-Silo and later Lewiston High School where he graduated in 1976. He worked for various farmers until he eventually started milking his own cows. He later sold his cows and worked at Mayo Clinic for twenty-six years while also helping at Burt's Poultry.
He enjoyed country life, cows, 4-H, cruising on his 4-wheeler and spending time with his grandchildren.
Luther was a member at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Eyota.
He is survived by his wife, Debbi; daughter, Amanda (Brian) Rinehart; grandchildren, Alita, Rylie, Jayce Rinehart; siblings, Ila (Laverne) Robbert of Pine River, WI; Dave (Shirley) Bonow of Lewiston; John (Marilyn) Bonow of Fremont, NE; Glen (Ruthie) Bonow of Altura; Lyle (Jane) Bonow of Lewiston; many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Venita Finhart; and sisters-in-law, Sandra Wood, Barbra (Bob Rath) Finhart.
He is preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law Jerald Finhart; brother-in-law Terry Quandt.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Friday May 31, 2019 at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service- St. Charles with the Rev. Jon Volrath officiating. Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the funeral on Friday. Luther will be laid to rest at Trinity Ev. Cemetery - Norton.
