St. Charles, Lucille M. Rupprecht, 83, (nee Cole), wife of Elmer F. Rupprecht, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2008 at Madison Lutheran Home in Madison, MN. She was born November 24, 1925 in Winona County to Henry and Mollie (Walther) Cole. She married Elmer Rupprecht on September 11, 1948 at St. Matthew's Lutheran church in St. Charles, MN. They farmed on the family farm in Saratoga Township for 30 years. In 1978 they moved to a hobby farm 2.5 miles south of St. Charles. Lucille moved to Madison, MN to live with her daughter (Marlys) in 2004. In 2006 she moved into the Madison Lutheran Home. Lucille was a member of St. Matthew's Ladies Aid - LWML and taught Sunday School. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary & VFW in St. Charles. Lucille served on the St. Charles School board for 12 years and was a member of the Hall of Fame for Minnesota School board members (1987). She also served on the Winona Co. Extension Council, Clyde Homemakers, St. Charles PTA, Community Education Advisory Board, Senior Citizen Meals on Wheels and a member of the St. Charles Area Hospice before retiring.Survivors include: Daughters - Marlys (Rick) Wollschlager of Madison, MN, Marian (Kevin) Arndt of Winnebago, MN, and son - Martin (Kristi) Rupprecht of West Union, IA. Seven grandchildren, Joshua (Sara) Wollschlager & Jared Wollschlager, Brittany, Chelsey and Seth Rupprecht, and Andrew, Matthew and Kayla Arndt and one great grandchild Jaeda.She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, an infant daughter, Louise; an infant grandson Jon and a half-brother Bud.Lucille will be greatly missed as a wonderful and loved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend.Funeral Services will be 1PM Saturday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in St. Charles with the Reverend Michael Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Saratoga Cemetery. Friends may call from 11AM until the time of services at the church on Saturday.
