Lucille Gwendolyn Eide, 95, formerly of Dover died Monday evening September 4, 2006 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield. Lucille was born June 12, 1911 in Winona County to Charles and Maud (Burt) Perry. Lucille and Carl O. Eide were married June 10, 1930 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They farmed for many years in Fillmore County. From 1945 - 1951 they operated the Chatfield Dairy. They later moved to Rochester, living there until moving to Dover in 1974. Lucille worked at Arnold's and Donaldson's clothing stores and St. Mary's Hospital. Lucille was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Rochester. She enjoyed baking, sewing and crocheting. Carl died November 22, 1998. In 2003 Lucille entered the care center. Survivors include three sons; Darwyn (Bonnie) Eide of St. Charles, Curtis (Sharon) Eide of Mazeppa and Dale (Terri) Eide of Kellogg, five daughters; Carmen (Conrad) Odegarden of Rochester, Virginia Teigen of Brainerd, Marjorie (Curtis) Fix of Dover, Karen (Brad) Pervin of Ozawkie, KS and Karla (Donald) Glynn of Jacksonville, FL, 30 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Carl she was preceded in death by one grandson, one brother, one sister, one daughter-in-law and two sons-in-law. Funeral Services will be 1:30 PM Friday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Rochester with the Rev. Steven Ronningen officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Thursday at Hoff Funeral Home's - St. Charles Chapel. Friends may also call one hour before services at the church.
