Lorraine Francis Stiehm, 95 of Rollingstone died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Speltz Estates Assisted Living while under the care of hospice.
Lorraine was born October 13, 1921 in Winona to Stanislaus "Stanley" and Martha (Rudnik) Cisewski. She graduated from Winona High School. Lorraine worked at McConnon and Company, secretary to the president, before taking a job at the Social Security office. On April 16, 1955, she married Douglas H. Stiehm in Winona and moved to Rollingstone. She became wife & homemaker raising their 3 children, while Douglas owned & ran Stiehm Mfg. Company. Lorraine was an excellent baker and enjoyed the once a week "coffee clutches" with the ladies on Washington St.
Lorraine is survived by three children, Jane (Ron) Rusert of Lewiston, James of Rollingstone and Richard of Winona; one grandson, Nathan Louis Clouse of Iowa; four great-grandchildren, her brother, Jim Cisewski of Albert Lea and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug in 2012; her parents; one sister, Alice Opitz & her husband Greg, sister-in-law, Lillian Cisewski and nephew, Greg Cisewski.
The family wishes to thank all the kind & compassionate care givers for providing a loving place for Mom, when living at home became too difficult. You were all Mom's Angels on earth.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Friday, November 11, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Rollingstone with the Reverend Adam McMillan officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Private family burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Winona. Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Salvation Army, Paralyzed Veterans of American or donors' choice.
