Lorraine Neumann, 87, of St. Charles died Tuesday, September 27 at Golden Living Center in St. Charles. Lorraine was born July 12, 1929 to William and Mabel (Bartelson) Fabian. She grew up between St. Charles and Utica. Lorraine attended the country school through sixth grade then she attended St. Charles through eighth grade. After school she stayed home and helped take care of her sister, Donna. Lorraine married the love of her life, Francis Neumann, on October 27, 1947. The two loved to be active as she accompanied Fran on many hunting and fishing expeditions. They also loved to camp and be in the outdoors. She was a wonderful baker and cook. She truly loved their family. One of her proudest moments was holding her grandchildren and great-grandchildren for the first time.
Survivors include a son Gary (Shirley) Neumann; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Mike) LaCasse, Jeremy "Bud" (Amber) Neumann; two great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Blake; sister, Donna Fabian. She is preceded in death by her husband Francis; son, Donald; two sisters, Inez Walters, Eunice Baker; and 4 brothers, Maurice, Melvin, Harvey and Doc Fabian.
