HOFF FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE, RUSHFORD 507-864-7771 Lorraine E. Tweten, 76, of Rushford, Minn. died on Sunday, August 21, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family. Lorraine was born on November 16, 1934, in Winona, Minn. to Herbert and Gertrude (Boehmke) Eggert. She was raised in Hart, Minn. where she attended school. Lorraine graduated from Rushford High School. On October 8, 1955, she was united in marriage with Virgil Tweten at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hart. Lorraine farmed along-side her husband for their entire married life. She was a Tupperware dealer for over 35 years. She worked at Rushford IGA and Norseland Lefse in Rushford. She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Hart, it's ladies aid and kitchen band. She was also a member of the Lewiston Cancer Support Group. Lorraine enjoyed quilting, embroidery and sewing. She was a very caring person who loved helping others. Lorraine is survived by her husband, Virgil; three children: Sandy (Frank) Gowin of Rushford, Steve (Marlene) Tweten of Minnesota City, Minn. and Sara (Thomas) Bowe of Chippewa Falls, Wis.; eight grandchildren: Jason, Amber, Chad, Carey, Christopher, Katie, Dakota and Blayde; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters: Anita (Melvin) Brand of Rushford and Elnora (Arlan) Hildestad of Rochester, Minn.; brother-in-law, Duane Tweten of Peterson, Minn.; and sister-in-law, Eileen Eggert of Rushford. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Norman Eggert; son, Richard; and sister-in-law, Maxine Tweten. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hart, Minn. with the Rev. Harold Hintzman officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in Rushford and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
