Lorraine A. Nash

Lorraine A. Nash, 89, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at her daughter's home in Minnesota City, MN. Lorraine was born November 30, 1918, in Detroit, MI, to Emory and Inez (Walterbach) Hogensen. Lorraine married George R. Nash on April 11, 1942, in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on December 22, 2005. Lorraine and her husband George lived the majority of their lives in Park Forest, IL where she worked for the State of Illinois' Elisabeth Ludeman Developmental Center. Lorraine and George moved to Winona in 1991. Lorraine was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Minnesota City, MN. Lorraine enjoyed sewing, knitting, traveling and spending time with her family. Lorraine is survived by two children, Michael (Lori) Nash of Scottsdale, AZ, and Marianne (Ron) Scherbring of Minnesota City, MN; four grandchildren, Heather (Will) Nash Hayes of Flagstaff, AZ, Maureen Nash Holmes of Scottsdale, AZ, Peter Scherbring of Winona, MN and Matthew Scherbring of Las Vegas, NV; and three great grandchildren, Maeve Nash Hayes, Powell Nash Hayes and Michaela Nash Holmes. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, brother, John Hogensen and grandson-in-law, Russell Holmes.A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, July 5, 2008, at 11:00am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone, MN, with the Reverend Donald Lovas officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
