Loren A. Reinhardt, 85, of Fountain, died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester, of natural causes. Loren was born March 22, 1927, to Conrad and Josephine (Oleson) Reinhardt in Chandler, N.D. He graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1945. Loren joined the Navy and served in WW II in the Pacific Ocean. He married Pauline Hanson Aug. 1, 1970, at the Fountain Lutheran Church. Loren worked for IBM for 30 years and farmed his whole life. He was a member of the Fountain American Legion and IBM Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed fishing, old western movies, and time spent with his grandkids. He also enjoyed dancing, playing cards and just being on the farm. Loren loved Dodge Pick-ups. He is survived by his wife, Pauline; two sons, Ted (Renae) Reinhardt of Fountain and Matt (Andrea) Reinhardt of Fountain; seven grandchildren, Haley, Blake, twins, Corbin and Teagan, Jared, Tristin and Devin; two sisters; his twin sister, Lorraine Cottrel of Vacaville, Calif., and Amy Jones of El Segundo, Calif. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin and Maurice; and four sisters, Inez, Ione, Bernice and Beatrice. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at the Fountain Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Paul Forde officiating. Burial will be in the Fountain Lutheran Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Fountain American Legion Post 492. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, May 22, at Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Riley Funeral Home, Chatfield.
