Lois Elaine Wadewitz, 88 of Winona, died Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Lewiston Senior Living.
Lois was born September 12, 1932 in rural Lewiston to Theodore and Pauline (Prigge) Luehmann. She graduated from Lewiston High School. In June of 1962, Lois married Robert Wadewitz at Immanuel Lutheran Church - Silo. They lived in Stewartville, Rushford and Goodview where they made lasting friendships with many great friends and neighbors.
Lois was a member of St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was active in the Ladies Aide. She spent many years volunteer at Sauer Health Care. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and flower gardening. She often hosted her nieces and nephews for sleepovers. Lois graciously welcomed after school visits from neighborhood children. Bob and Lois could often be found helping at the vineyard.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Audrey Luehmann, Beverly Luehmann, Myrna Luehmann, Marion Farner, Linda (Dave) Bronk, Bonnie (Kenny) Bartsch, Lois (Rodger) Matzke and Carol Wadewitz; brother-in-law, Roy (Rosie) Wadewitz and was dearly loved by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob in 2015; parents; brothers and sisters, Adeline, Lester, Robert, Joan, Dennis, and an infant brother.
Funeral Service will be 11:30 a.m., Thursday, February 4, 2021 at St. Martin's Ev. Lutheran Church with the Reverend Mark Triplett officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m., until the time of the service. Masks and social distancing are required. Lois will be laid to rest at Lewiston Public Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to St. Martin's Church - Ladies Aide.
