Lois Carol Zieman

Lois C. Zieman, 74, a longtime area resident, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Whitewater Health Care Center in St. Charles, MN.Lois was born January 5, 1932 in Polk County to Lawrence and Sarah (Posey) Reed. She married Paul Raymond Zieman on October 26, 1953 and were longtime residents of Chatfield, MN before moving to Rochester, MN. Paul died on March 29, 1990. Lois was a housekeeper at the State Hospital, a bartender, a waitress for Woolworths, and a maid for Days Inn, all in Rochester. She enjoyed camping, putting puzzles together, her family, and her grandchildren. Lois spent her last remaining years at Whitewater Health Care Center. She is survived by 5 children, Carol (Darwin) Buss of Chatfield, MN; Sandra Graves of Rochester, MN; Judith (Randy) Strain of Byron, MN; Paula (Mark) Finstad of Rochester, MN; and Roger (Kimm) Zieman, 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, Alberta Hoyer of Rochester, MN; Lorraine (Emerson) Sikkink of Rochester, MN; Joanne (Mel) Kraft of Rochester, MN; and Phylis (Elmer) Rubow of Chester, MN, and one brother, Larry (Carol) Reed of Wabasha, MN.Lois is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and one son Edward.A Funeral Service for Lois will be held on Monday, July 10 at 2:30 p.m. at Hoff Funeral Home-St. Charles Chapel with the Reverend Roland Burt officiating. Burial will follow at Elgin Cemetery in Elgin, MN. Friends may call on Sunday, July 9 from 5-8 p.m. at Hoff Funeral Home-St. Charles Chapel and also one hour prior to the service on Monday.
