St. Charles, Lloyd H. Millard, 90, of St. Charles died Monday March 28, 2005 at Lake Winona Manor in Winona. Lloyd was born July 3, 1914 in Mauston, WI to Herbert and Grace Millard. He and Margaret Ihrke were married on November 1, 1940. Lloyd served in both the Army and Navy. He served during WWII and was discharged from active duty in 1945. The couple made their home in St. Charles. Lloyd worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was an outdoorsman and loved fishing, hunting, camping, trapping and boating. Lloyd was a 60 year member of the St. Charles American Legion and had belonged to the St. Charles Moose Lodge, the Odd fellows Lodge and was a former Boy Scout Leader. Survivors include his wife Margaret, a daughter, Faye Thoma of Enterprise, OR, a son Wayne Lloyd "Buzz" Millard of St. Charles, two grandchildren, John Williams of Lewiston and Julie Dawson of Enterprise, OR, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Cecil. Funeral Services will be 2 PM Saturday at Hoff Funeral Home' ? St. CharlesChapel with Funeral Celebrant John Wagenaar officiating. Cremation willfollow. Burial will be at a later date in Hillside Cemetery in St. Charles. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday and one hour before services Saturday at Hoff Funeral Home's St. Charles Chapel.
