Linda Risser

Linda Risser, age 77 of St. Charles, MN, died at her home on January 13, 2024.  Linda was born February 26, 1946 in Mower County, Minnesota to Faye Alvine Kirkpatrick and Allen Lee Hamilton.  

She loved gardening, operating the Hilltop Country Greenhouse for a number of years and going to farmers market with her crafts and plants.  She also enjoyed writing and was the editor of the St. Charles Press and contributed to other publications.

She loved the Lord and was involved in various support groups and Bible studies.  Linda beat cancer twice and was an advocate for anyone going through the disease. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in law Lloyd Helland.

She is survived by her husband, James Risser; daughters: Lori Hendrix, and Crystal (Brian) Welsh; grandchildren: Cassie Hendrix, Tony Hendrix, Richard (Courtney) Hendrix, and Matt (Kayla) Hendrix; great-grandchildren: Octavia Faye Hendrix, and Theodore Hendrix.  Further survived by step children: Beth (Todd) Cage, and their children, Parker and Emma; James (Heidi) Risser, and their children, Trent and Kaleigh; Joel (Kristen) Risser, and their children, Tyler and Zachary; Brent (Alanna) Risser, and their children, Ryan and Stella; Kristin (Steve) Broom; Lisa Kay Sheffield; and Stephanie Gjerdahl; brother, Wade (Janet) Hamilton, and sister, Valerie Helland.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 22, 2024, at 10:00am at Lewiston Church of the Brethren. Visitation will be Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 5-7pm at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be at Lewiston Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
