Lillie I. Erickson

Lillie Irene Erickson, 95, died Friday, July 10, 2009, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford, MN. Lillie was born October 12, 1913, to Carl and Inga (Hungerholt) Gudmundson in Norway Township near Highland, MN. She enjoyed school and attended Malan school through the eighth grade. She helped on the family farm until her marriage to Einar O. Erickson on October 1, 1938. Einar worked as a mason. Einar and Lillie raised their family and lived their entire married life in the same home in south Rushford. She had been a resident of Good Shepherd for the past five years. Lillie worked at Rush Products for 18 years and worked for several restaurants and the school kitchen in Rushford for many years. She also had worked at the Neco car factory in Winona for many years. Lillie was a member of Rushford Lutheran Church and the church circle.Survivors include her children, Lynda (Ron) Pancratz of San Antonio, TX, Robert (Joan) Erickson of Rochester, MN and Paul (Sharon) Erickson of Rushford, MN; grandchildren, David (Camille), Jennifer, and Stephen (Sonia) Pancratz, Kristen (Mike) Schmitz, Karla (Paul) Fagerland, Brian Erickson, Hope (Fred Diekman) Erickson, Sara Erickson and Lora (Scott) Boyum; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Einar, brothers, Harold and Miner, and sisters, Charlotte and Ida, and great-grandson, Shane Fitzpatrick. Lillie was a loving and big hearted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at 11:00am at Rushford Lutheran Church with the Reverend Roger Michaelson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
