Lillian Rollins

     RUSHFORD, MINN. - Lillian A. Rollins, 79, of Rushford died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at her home. Lillian was born on February 15, 1924, in Rushford to Ludvig and Amanda (Berland) Fossum. She graduated from Rushford High School in 1943. On April 22, 1945, she married Donald ?Tinker? Rollins in El Paso, Texas. She lived in California where she worked for Lockheed as a riveter. She moved with her family in Chester, Iowa for 30 years where she worked as a postal clerk. Lillian and Tinker moved back to Rushford in 1987. Tinker died in July of 1991. Lillian worked at Norby?s Jewelry Store in Rushford. She was a member of the Rushford Lutheran Church and was active in circle, ladies aide and making quilts and lefse. She was also a member of the Rushford Historical Society, American Legion Auxiliary and was a volunteer at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home and SEMCAC. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and loved her children and grandchildren dearly.      She is survived by two sons: Terry (Joanie) Rollins of Decorah, Iowa and Greg (Sandy) Rollins of LeRoy, Minn.; one daughter Pat (Lenny) Volkman of Rushford; nine grandchildren: James, Jill, Laura, Rylee, Gunnar, Lee, LeAnn, Lowell, and Mandy; six great-grandchildren: Leigh, Tifany, Bridgette, David, Garret, and Amber; one sister, Helen Ebner of Sun City, California. She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, Zane Rollins and one brother, Conrad Fossum. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, at Rushford Lutheran Church with the Rev. Roger Michaelson officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Grove City Cemetery in Rushford. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Rushford Chapel and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. The family prefers memorials to be directed to the Eagles Cancer Telethon.
