Lillian Mae (Heintz) Lehmann, 95 of Winona and formerly of Houston died Saturday, April 9, 2016 at St. Anne Extended Healthcare.
Lillian was born September 13, 1920 in Caledonia to Louis and Mae (Wilhelm) Heintz. She graduated from Caledonia High School as Salutatorian and attended Teacher's College in La Crosse, graduating with high honors. Lillian taught in Rockland, WI for a few years before becoming a caregiver for Dr. Egan's family and eventually working in his clinic. On February 5, 1956, she married Edward Lehmann. Lillian was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in La Crosse.
She is survived by two children, Eugenia (Richard) Moe of Winona and Mark Lehmann of Onalaska; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 3 step children, Sara, Ray and Jean Lehmann; sister, Ruth Heintz of Caledonia; brother Eugene (Virginia) Heintz of Brownsville; and Delores Heintz sister-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Leland and Glen; three sisters, Shirley, Eunice & Lois; and one great grandson, Hayden Moe.
Memorial Service will be 11 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2016 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview with the Reverend Wade Davick officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at Prospect Hill Cemetery in La Crescent.
