Lester Roy Luehmann

Lester Roy Luehmann, 77, of Lewiston passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday March 28, 2006. He was born May 21, 1928 at Lewiston to Ted and Pauline (Prigge) Luehmann. On June 12, 1928 Lester was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church-Silo in rural Lewiston. He and Audrey Haack were married August 21, 1949 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Racine, MN. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Silo in rural Lewiston. In thee past he was on church finance board, trustee, school board and choir. Lester was also on the Lewiston Creamery Board, Winona County DHIA, Lewiston Midland Co-op Board, Winona area Barber shoppers Chorus. He farmed most of his life and drove truck for local sales barns. He had a great love for horses. Lester is survived by his wife Audrey, four children; Rena Bambenek of Winona, Ronald (Pam) Luehmann of Lewiston, Kevin (Joan) Luehmann of Eyota and Steven Luehmann of Winona, seven grandchildren; Shannon (Brian) Golish, Brad (Heather) Luehmann, Kelly Luehmann, Erin Luehmann, Tricia (Jeff) Planteen, Alyson Bambenek & Cody Luehmann, seven great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Todd, Alexis Golish, Abbey Golish, Madison Golish, Alysa Luehmann, Katelyn Luehmann and Taiyah Hampton, three sisters; Adeline Lockman of Rochester, Lois (Robert) Wadewitz of Winona, Joanne (Harold) Wadewitz of Stockton, one brother, Robert (Bev) Luehmann of Lewiston and a sister-in-law Myrna Luehmann of Preston. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers. Funeral services will be 11AM Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church ? Silo with the Rev. William Meilner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 4-8 PM Friday and one hour before services Saturday. Hoff Funeral Home ?
