St. Charles, Lester M. Fix, 74, of St. Charles died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Golden Living Center in St. Charles. Les was born June 24, 1938 in St. Charles to Andy and Fern (Marks) Fix and graduated from St. Charles High School in 1956. He was a dairy farmer and worked for Culligan, Eyota Elevator, Schott Distributing, and Twin Valley Ag, tended bar at the Moose Lodge, along with several other jobs and was a long time member of the St. Charles Moose Lodge. Les had a zest for life; he enjoyed 'Dancing with the nurses at the Play More', cheering for his Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Gophers. He also liked to deer hunt and garden. He is survived by two brothers; Wayne (Jan) Fix and Ron Fix, a sister-in-law Marge Fix all of St. Charles, five nieces and nephews; Vicki (Darrell) Koehler, Terry (Deanna) Fix, Britt (Tonia) Fix, Mike (Cathy) Fix and Janell (Orv) Dahl. He was preceded in death by brothers Curt and Kenneth Fix, a niece Jeri Lynn Berger and his parents. A Celebration of Life for Les will be 7 p.m., Monday, May 6 at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service in St. Charles, led by Funeral Celebrant Tim Hoff.
