Leslie Floyd Kramer, 78, of Goodview, died Thursday, June 29 at St. Anne's Extended Health Care. Les was born September 30, 1938 to Floyd and Gladys (Stephen) Kramer in Minnieska. He grew up as a hardworking farm boy helping his father, where he learned the value of hard work, taking pride in working the land, and his strong work ethic. A proud veteran of the Minnesota National Guard, where he served for 4 years as an infantryman. He met Donna Hollenbeck and the two were later married at Central Lutheran Church on July 20, 1963. They spent almost 54 wonderful years together and had two boys, Steven and Rick. Throughout his life, Les worked at Montgomery Ward, Thern Industries, Madison Silo, and worked his last 26 years at Ziebell's Hiawatha Foods before retiring.
Les and Donna enjoyed life together where they both enjoyed to bowl and joined many leagues at Westgate Bowl. He loved life outside, spending countless days fishing with his sons, helping on a local farm putting up barb wire fences on the weekend, and driving his delivery route. He will always be remembered as a kind, gentle man, a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed every moment he spent with his family and always put his family first. They are members of Faith Lutheran Church in Winona.
Les is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna; children, Steven and his wife Kerri and Rick; grandchildren, Steven Jr., Jana, Michael, Andrew, Danielle, Haley, Brandon and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Maya, Brooklynn, Jaxon and Layla. He is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Gladys and his brother, Donald.
A funeral for Les will be held 3 PM, Thursday, July 6 with visitation one hour prior at Faith Lutheran Church in Winona. Interment at Hebron Moravian Cemetery. Please leave a memory and view his tribute video when it becomes available at Hofffuneral.com
