LeRoy Edward Jasnoch "Poppi" to the Grandkids, 77, of Winona, died February 10, 2016 at St. Anne Extended Health Care.
He was born Feb. 8, 1939 to Edward and Emma (Gottschalk) Jasnoch and lived in Winona his entire life. LeRoy graduated from WSHS, CLASS of '57, then attended Technical College. He married Marilyn (Dietrich) on July 25, 1959 and they were about to celebrate 58 years together. Together they raised 2 daughters Dana and Joey. LeRoy worked with Schwab Company for 39 years. Most of these years as a construction superintendent. He was involved in many building projects in the area, being so proud when completing the Page Theater.
LeRoy, Marilyn, and their girls enjoyed weekends taking mini-vacations, riding and raising horses, snowmobiling, motorcycle rides, and attending so many of the girls' athletic events. In their retirement, they enjoyed golfing most days. He was so of proud of his TWO holes in one, their winters on the Texas coast, and keeping up with the grandchildren's many events. LeRoy was an avid Minnesota sports fan and a voracious reader of books.
LeRoy is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Dana Lynn (Todd) Vicker and Joel' Eliz (Dan) Terveer; grandchildren, Samantha, Mackenzie, Madeline, Tyler, Alexandra, and Mirabella; sisters, Dorothy Podjaski and Joann Strong; and many, many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Anton Edward; brothers, George, Jerome, Junior, and Eugene; and sisters, Margaret Larson and Emily Hazelton.
LeRoy was very devoted to his wife and family; they were the centerpiece of his life.
There will be a private family service with internment in Pine Creek, WI. Memorials preferred to Winona Health Hospice. Hoff Celebration of Life Center is assisting the family.
