Leone Frances Erbe

Lewiston, Leone Frances Erbe, 100, former Lewiston resident died Wednesday August 6, 2008 at Samaritan Bethany Heights in Rochester. She was born August 29, 1907 in Elgin to Herman and Emma (Wandry) Bartz. Leone and Elmer Erbe were married September 5, 1936 in Elgin. They later moved to Lewiston. Leone stayed home to raise her children, later working at Camera Art of Lewiston for many years. Elmer died in 1974. Leone was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of its Ladies Aid of Lewiston. She was also involved in the Lewiston Flower Society. Survivors include two children, Carolyn McCormick (Steve Cothran) of Glendale, AZ and Lowell "Bud" (Diane) Erbe of St. Charles, four grandchildren; Dee Erbe and Jen Erbe both of St. Charles, Gary Overton of Lawrence, KS and Michael Overton of Glendale, AZ, six great-grandchildren; Ana Sievers, Carsen, Cole & Chase Overton and Victoria & Samantha Overton, three nieces; Jean Schultz, Norma Milling and Marlys Kitzman, two nephews; Mike and Randy Bartz. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer, a brother Fred Bartz and sisters, Alta Bartz and Dorothy Boie. Funeral Services will be 11AM Tuesday at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Lewiston with The Reverend David A. Fischer officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Monday at Hoff Funeral Home in Lewiston.
