Leonard Biers

St. Charles, MNLeonard C. Biers, 83, died Friday, June 18, 2004 at White Water Health Care Center in St. Charles, MN. Leonard was born January 17, 1921 in Quincy Township, Olmsted County, MN to Carl and Esther (Zimmerman) Biers. He married Elaine Feltes September 30, 1944 in St. Charles, MN. She later died July 22, 1992. Leonard was a life long farmer and had served numerous terms on the St. Charles School Board. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Survivors include his six sons, Keith L. (Susan) of Elko, MN, Kenneth E. of St. Charles, MN, Wayne F. of Minneapolis, MN, James C. (Marilyn Ellringer) of Big Lake, MN, Richard C. (Yvonne) of Rochester, MN and Dean T. (Jane) of Dover, MN; four grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; and one sister, Charlotte Powers of Elgin, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Elaine. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with the Reverend James Callahan officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in St. Charles, MN. Friends may call at Hoff Funeral Homes ? St. Charles Chapel on Tuesday from 4-8:00pm where the Rosary will be recited at 4:00pm.
