Leo Albert Kryzer

Lewiston, Leo Albert Kryzer, age 79 of Lewiston, took his final journey to his heavenly Father on Monday October 18th after an illness of six weeks. He was born on July 5, 1931 to Jacob and Rose (Stanek) Kryzer. He was born and lived his entire life on his Hart Township farm home. Leo attended Little Ridgley School and farmed with his father until he married Cornelia Gernes on June 25, 1953. At that time he took over his father's farm, raising dairy cattle and chickens. He was a board member of Hart Farm Service and was on the Hart Township Board. Leo and Cornelia loved to travel and visited many foreign countries as well as all states and provinces of the U.S. and Canada. Alaska was his favorite destination. After retiring from farming, Leo made many wooden items for his children and grandchildren. He was an avid deer and turkey hunter. Leo is survived by his wife Cornelia, eight daughters and four sons: Cleo (Paul) Wenzel of Somerset, WI; Peggy (Steve) Pasche of Cokato; Avis Peters of Stillwater, Ida (Larry) Alpert of Fridley; Brenda (Tom) Hoffman of Blaine; Roy (Maren) Kryzer of Lewiston; Sara (Jim) Richter of Belleville, MI; Sam (Beth) Kryzer of Eden Prairie; Polly (Brent) Greden of Altura; Jeff (Marla) Kryzer of Maple Grove; Keith Kryzer (Rachel Cavegn) of Maplewood and Tanya (Zac) Skagerberg of Hanover. He is also survived by 30 grandchildren and one sister, Dorothy O'Donnell of Rushford. He was preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Rose Kryzer, and one sister Lorraine DeBoer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Wilson with The Reverend Marreddy Pothireddy officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter and St. Paul Cemetery at Hart. Friends may call at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Lewiston from 4-8PM Thursday. They may also call one hour before services on Friday at the church in Wilson. Casket Bearers will be grandchildren; Joe Wenzel, Amanda Pasche, Tyler Peters, Ben Alpert, Amy Hoffman, Andy Kryzer, Ryan Richter and Luke Greden.
