Dover, Leeland Harvey McDougall, 93, of Dover died Monday morning December 29, 2003 at his daughter's home in Rochester. Leeland was born August 5, 1910 in Dover to Harvey Leeland and Lillian Sarah (Polzin) McDougall. He and Evelyn Jeannette Lance were married October 13, 1934 in Decorah, IA. They made their home in Dover. Leeland was a mechanic and had been shop foreman at Patterson Quarries in St. Charles for many years. He suffered a stroke in May and has lived at his daughter's home in Rochester since August. His wife Evelyn died February 21, 2002. Leeland enjoyed fishing, gardening and repairing small engines. He belonged to Dover United Methodist Church, the Operating Engineers Local #49 and he delivered Meals on Wheels. Survivors include five children, Wayne (Paula) McDougall of New Castle, WY; Barbara (Jerald) Warner of Rochester; Gary (Alice) McDougall of Hastings; Ruth McDougall of Rochester and Richard (Karen) McDougall of Rockford, MN, 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, three sisters Marge Overman of Wentzville, MO; Neva Eversold of Buffalo City, WI and Edith Ihrke of Stewartville. In addition to his wife Evelyn, a daughter Gayle Mundell, a son Robert McDougall, and two sisters Norrine and Ruth preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Saturday at Dover United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sharon Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Dover. Friends may call from 3-7 PM Friday at Hoff Funeral Home's ? St. Charles Chapel. They may also call one hour before services Saturday at the church.
