Leanora Kreinbring

Lewiston, Leanora M. "Nora" Kreinbring, 94, of Lewiston died Monday, September 6, 2004 at Lewiston Villa, where she had resided the past 1 ? years. Nora was born August 21, 1910 to Emil and Emma (Ellinghuysen) Obitz in Hillsdale Township of Winona County. She and Herbert Kreinbring were married April 22, 1933 at Immanuel Lutheran Church ? Silo, in rural Lewiston. The couple farmed near Stockton until 1940, when they moved to a farm three miles east of Lewiston. They retired from farming in 1967 and continued living on the farm until 1976, when they moved to Lewiston. She was a longtime employee of Camera Art in Lewiston. Herb died August 4, 1994. She moved to Rochester in 1998. Due to declining health she moved to Lewiston Villa in 2003. Nora was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Lewiston and the church's Dorcas Society. She was also active as a 4-H leader, a member of the Lewiston Flower Society. She enjoyed gardening, cake decorating and being helpful to others in the community. In 1982 Nora was named Outstanding Senior Citizen of Winona County. She enjoyed family gatherings. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara (James) McKeag of Vero Beach, FL, four sons, Roger (Joyce) of Byron, Eugene (Patricia) and Ronald (Nancy) both of Rochester, and William of San Ysidro, CA, 16 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Arlene Johnson of Rochester and Lucinda Williams of Sacramento, CA. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by and infant daughter, Beverly, four brothers, a sister and a great-great- grandchild. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Saturday at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Lewiston with the Revs. David A. Fischer and Michael A. Lindemann officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Stockton. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Friday at Hoff Funeral Home's ? Lewiston Chapel. They may also call one hour before services at the church.
