Lawrence I. Sorum

RUSHFORD, MINN. - Lawrence I. Sorum, 85, of Rushford died on Saturday, January 12, 2008, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Rushford. Lawrence was born on August 27, 1922, in rural Rushford to Louis E. and Inga (Jensen) Sorum. He farmed in rural Rushford for all of his career. Lawrence graduated from Rushford High School and was a member of Kingdom Hall in Winona. He is survived by one sister, Clarice (Orrin A. Grotjahn) Brandt of Winona; four nieces: Joyce (Marty) Petrovic, and her two children Marissa and Nathan; Barbara (Fel Barbante) Burfeind, and her two children, Adrian and Kathryn; Dorothy Bach and Karen Burfeind; and special friends, Morris and Shirley Sandvig. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Milda Burfeind. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at Hoff Funeral Homes - Rushford Chapel. Burial will be in the Rushford Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
