Lawrence H. Lange

Lawrence "Toad" Lange, 68, of Rushford, died Sunday, April 23, 2006. Larry was born on October 28, 1937, in Lincoln, Neb. to Leonard and Helen (Hondrock) Lange. He settled with his family in the Rushford area in 1941. Larry attended Rush Creek Country School, and graduated from Rushford High School. On December 17, 1962 he married Lois Aakre. Larry farmed in Rush Creek Valley all of his career. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trap shooting. He is survived by his wife Lois; three daughters: Melanie (Bruce) Williams, Heidi (Shawn) Lee, and Holly Lange, all of Rushford; one step-daughter, Tracy (Charles) Crain of Fernley, Nevada; three grandchildren: Taylor, Amber, and April; and one sister, Eleanor of Illinois. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Shirley. There will be a memorial service for Larry at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, at Rushford Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Roger Michaelson officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Hoff Funeral Homes - Rushford Chapel.
