Larry Dennis Semmen

Larry Dennis Semmen was born March 24, 1949 to Leonard and Rose (Hagen) Semmen at the Johnson Hospital in Lanesboro, Mn.  He live in Bratsburg and attended school in Rushford until 6th grade until the family moved to Lanesboro. He was baptized at Highland Prairie Lutheran Church and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lanesboro.  He graduated from LHS in 1967. He served in the United States Army for 4 years during the Vietnam war in Germany. He was very proud of his country. Larry went to school at Control Data and worked as TRW repairing computers. Also, at IBM AS quality control, Rush Products in testing and quality, Mayo Clinic with IT, Preston Servicemens Club Mgr. and Root River Saloon. Larry enjoyed music, TBI and the Hall boys,  and he is with Danny, Jim, David and Chuck jammin! He also liked sports, Vikings and the Twins.
He  married Lynn Anderson and they later divorced.They had a son Nathan.
He is survived by his brother, Richard (Peggy) Semmen.  His two sisters Juanita (Larry) Palmby and Lori Semmen.  His nephew Pete (Christin) Semmen. And we can't forget his favorite,  his dog, Holly.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held to honor his life at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston.  Friday, August 28, 2020 at 1pm.  Be there at 12:45.  To share a condolence or memory with the family, please visit rileyfuneralhomes.com.
