Larry Lynn Draper, 53, of Lanesboro, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at his home.
Larry was born Feb. 22, 1958, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Wendell and E. LaVonne (Stahr) Draper. He graduated from Lanesboro High School in 1977. On Sept. 23, 1995, he married Stacy Laganiere at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lanesboro.
Larry was a truck foreman and dispatcher for Ames Construction in Burnsville. He was a member of Union 120.
Larry enjoyed snowmobiling, demolition derbies, Whalan 4 Wheelers, bowling, pinball, foosball, working and hanging out in the shop with neighbors and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Stacy; one son, Cory Draper of Chatfield; one daughter, Misty Draper of Mabel; grandchildren, Skylar Brink, Trae Mathison, Reese Draper and Brooklynn Draper; his mother, E. LaVonne Draper of Lanesboro; two brothers, Jim (Karen) Draper of Lanesboro and Ronald (Chris) Draper of Fountain City, Wis.; and two sisters, Barbara Auman of Rochester and Pamela (Allan) Mueller of Winona.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Lee.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at First Lutheran Church of Highland, with Rev. Patricia Hinkie officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at the First Lutheran Church of Highland, and an hour before the service on Thursday.
Pallbearers are Brandon Draper, Tanner Draper, Chaz Draper, Dillon Draper, Josh Mueller, Trevor Auman and Justin Auman.
