Larry K. Anderson

Larry K. Anderson, 56, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, WI. He was born December 18, 1952, to Everett and Dorothy (Tinkler) Anderson in Miami, FL. He graduated in 1971 from Houston (MN) High School. In addition Larry was a graduate of Winona Technical College and Winona State University. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1975. In July 1995 he married Mary Battis, they were later divorced. He worked as an auditor for the state of MN for twenty-two years and then relocated to Winona, where he was employed at Benchmark. He was an avid baseball fan, particularly the NY Yankees, and he LOVED the Green Bay Packers.Survivors include his sons, Taylor and Brian; his mother Dorothy; sister Sandy (Arlan) Runningen; brother Bob (Rhonda) Anderson; niece Emily Lorenzen; nephews Josh (Ashley) Swenson, Aaron Swenson, Jake Anderson; aunt Madonna Tinker; cousins Renee Larson and family, Jim (Janet) Tinker and family, Joe Tinker; and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2009, at 2:00pm at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service Hansen Goodview Chapel with the Reverend Mike Woods officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
