L. Grace Hunter, 83, of Mequon WI, formerly of Lewiston, MN, passed away August 5,2010 at Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee Hospital, WI after a brief illness.Grace was born on June 17, 1927 to August and Rose (Mueller)Luehmann in Lewiston, MN. She met and married her husband William Hunter and settled in New York City before moving to Chatham, NJ where she raised threechildren. She returned to Lewiston to be with her siblings in 2001 following the passing of her husband in 1999. She was a volunteer for meals on wheels before her recent move to Wisconsin to be near her daughter. She is lovingly remembered by her family forthe great lengths she would go to support their endeavors and for her strongsense of style.Survivors include her three children, William (Kathy) of NewYork City; James (Elaine) of Elko, Nevada; Hope (Craig) Siverhus of Fox Point,Wisconsin; 6 grand children; her brother James (Pat) Luehmann of Lewiston, MN;her sister Doris Matt of Minneapolis, MN.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Norman andLuVern; and sisters Ruth Milstein and Elvira.Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, August 9 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston with the Reverend M. John Dermé officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Ev. Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m., Sunday at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service in Lewiston and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Meals on Wheels or to St. John's Lutheran Church, Lewiston MN.
