Koreen Ann Fenton

Koreen Ann Fenton, age 67, of Rochester, formerly of Chatfield passed away on June 30, 2024 at the Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island after a short 3.5 month battle with pancreatic cancer. 

Koreen was born on July 8, 1956, to John and Barbara (Elton) Pettey in Preston, MN. She moved to Chatfield as a young girl and attended school in Chatfield, graduating in 1974. She worked for the car manufacturing company in Stewartville and met her husband, Richard “Rick” Fenton and the couple was married in 1979. Rick was taken from this life on June 23, 1983. Koreen and their son, Richard, lived in Rochester. On June 9, 1991, Koreen married Brad David Vesey and they had a daughter, Nicole. They later divorced. Koreen worked in the Rochester area and enjoyed her work as an adult home health aide. Her most recent work was as a driver for Kids on the Go and she greatly enjoyed working with her co-workers and the children. 

Koreen loved to crochet and watch sporting events, especially those that her grandchildren participated in. She loved stock car races, traveling and greatly looked forward to weekend adventures with her sister Ayleen. 

Koreen is lovingly survived by her children Richard (Wendy) Fenton of Plainview, Nicole Vesey of Chatfield, her grandchildren Blake Herber, Kylie Fenton, Brady Herber and Bow Hanson. She is further survived by her siblings Kathleen (Layne) Sass of Rhinelander, WI, Ayleen (Micheal) Meyer of Chester, IA and David (Laura) Pettey of Stewartville and her nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Richard “Rick” Fenton. 

Funeral services for Koreen will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Hoff Funeral Home and Cremation Center (800 South Main Street) in Chatfield. Emily Ulrich, Celebrant, will officiate. 

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. 

Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Chatfield. 

Pallbearers will be Blake Herber, Brady Herber, Caleb Meyer, Adam Pettey, Nick Pettey and Dylan Hanson.
