Kevin Daniel Frankum

Kevin Daniel Frankum, 39, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Winona Community Memorial Hospital in Winona, MN. Kevin was born October 12, 1970, in Winona, MN, to Ron and Nancy (Orr) Frankum. Kevin enjoyed the 16 years and 7 months being a husband to Linda (married July 23, 1993), and step-dad to Sandy, Jerry and Krystal. On September 23, 1992, Kevin watched Danjerr being born and became known as "Gramps" at the age of 22. He also leaves behind 3 other grandchildren, Ava age 7, who he loved to play checkers and Sorry with, Kayden age 2 and Landen age 10 months. Kevin was a self employed pilot car driver, traveling through most of the United States delivering over-size loads. He enjoyed Sprint Cup Racing and Jeff Gordon was he favorite driver; morel mushroom, deer and gensing hunting; playing cards, "500", at Ginny's, Ridgeway and his Grandma's on Saturday nights; was a huge Motley Crue fan; enjoyed working on cars out to his Dad's place; taking care of his ball python, Vince; and gardening tomatoes, cucumbers and flowers.Other survivors include his father, Ron Frankum of Rollingstone, MN; mother, Nancy Frankum of Minnesota City, MN; brothers, Ronald of Winona, MN, Tyler of LaCrosse, WI ; maternal grandmother, Lorraine (Gene Bell) Orr of Winona, MN; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, and uncles, Jim, Gale and Rick.A time to share memories of Kevin will be held on Monday, March 8th, at 6:00pm at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service Hansen Goodview Chapel. Visitation will be from 4pm until the time of sharing at the funeral home. The family also invites friends to a reception immediately following the service at the funeral home on Monday.
