Kenneth "Kenny" F. Jandt, 79, of Winona, MN died on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI.
Kenny was born on July 31, 1937, in Winona, MN to Hugo and Lila (Wilkins) Jandt. He was raised on Garvin Heights and attended Winona Public Schools. He was united in marriage with Arlene Roach on June 14, 1958, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wilson, MN. Kenny purchased his grandparents farm in Wilson. Kenny drove milk truck for Don Valentine and for the Wilson Creamery. He worked for Bunke's APCO in Winona for 35 years and later drove oil truck for Neuman Oil.
Kenny was a quiet, soft hearted man who was wise with his words. His family was the centerpiece of his life. He cherished his family gatherings. He enjoyed Bowling, fishing, camping, throwing horseshoes, and rolling dice, especially when he won. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wilson and was a 27 year member of the Wilson Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; three children: Gale (Clayton) Bentson of Elba, MN, Karen (Daryl) Pruka of Rushford, MN, and Jeff (Robin) Jandt of Winona; four grandchildren: Michael (Heather) Beardsley, Jennifer (Todd) Smith, Cole Jandt, and Elizabeth Jandt; two step-grandchildren: Steve Bentson and Mike (Connie) Bentson; four great-grandchildren: Matthew Smith, Cooper Beardsley, Elijah Smith, and Anna Smith; three step-great-grandchildren: Max, Henry and Eliza Bentson. five siblings: Dorothy Jacobson of Wanamingo, MN, Barbara Seeling, Judy (Bill) Grant, June Bublitz, and Jack Jandt, all of Winona.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Jandt, step-brother, Richard Langowski, and a granddaughter.
There will be a funeral service for Kenny at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wilson, MN with the Reverend Anthony Straseske officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview, MN, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
