Kenneth Frank Ziebell, 87 of Stockton, MN died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.Ken was born September 2, 1927 in Winona to Arthur and Marie (Dabelstein) Ziebell. He was united in marriage to Delores Jacobs on May 1, 1948 at St. Martin's Lutheran Church Parsonage in Winona. Ken and Delores moved onto his family farm shortly after they were married where they raised six children. Ken farmed full time until 1967. He then worked at Winona Housing Authority for 21 years before retiring in April 1988. He was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Pleasant Valley Cemetery Board, Stockton Snowsports and the National Farmers Organization. In his spare time, Ken enjoyed fishing, playing cards, dancing, gardening, woodworking, snowmobiling and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Delores; daughter, Barb Odegaard of Stockton and her children Melissa (Steve Verthein) and her children, Sierra and Deanna; Chad (Carol) and their children Riley and Cailin; son, Gary (Patti) of Detroit Lakes and his children, Andrea and Zach (Christine) and their children, Jasper and Zoe; daughter, Donna (Bob) Geschke of Janesville, WI and their children, Nya (Billy) Kegler, Josh (Angela) and their children, Carter, Jackson and Lillian, and Ryan(Abbey Sutherland); daughter, Susan Henry of Tucson, AZ and her children Jesse and Roxanne; daughter, Peggy Ziebell (Terry Gerke) of Norwalk, WI, and son Paul (Tina) Ziebell of Stockton and their son, Zane (Katelyn); sister, Lois Wrice of Palm Springs, CA; sister-in-law, Dolores Ziebell of Hart as well as other relatives and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Everett (Jean) Ziebell, and Gene Ziebell and sister, Shirley Ziebell.Memorial service will be 11am, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Goodview led by Reverend Kathy Schuler. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
