Kay Ann Neitzke, 70, of Winona died Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at her home. Kay was born June 25, 1938 in Winona to Robert and Pearl (Nuszloch) Babcock. She was raised in the Pickwick and Winona area. Kay married Roger Neitzke August 31, 1957 at Central Lutheran Church in Winona. They moved to Lewiston in 1960 and to Rosemount in 1990. They returned to Winona in September of 2004. Kay was a homemaker, enjoying painting, gardening, arts, quilting and crafts. She was very involved in the Lewiston community belonging to the Lioness Club, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Lewiston-Altura Booster Club and many school related activities. She loved to play cards with her children and grand-children. Survivors include her husband Roger, four children, Patti (Chuck) Spang of Winona; Bob (Lysa) Neitzke of St. Cloud; Tom (Stephanie) Neitzke of Lakeville and Scott (Hollie) Neitzke of Sartell, eight grandchildren; C.J. and Chris Spang, Ashley, Alyssa, Chelsey, Courtney, Cody and Caleb Neitzke, two sisters, Joan Hackbarth of Ridgeway and Marian (Kenneth) Nelson of Woodbury, a brother Jerry Babcock of Missouri and a special God child Aimee Peltier of New London, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law Arden Hackbarth. Funeral Services will be 11AM Monday at Central Lutheran Church with Pastors Michelle Rem and Peter Huggenvik officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona.
